Just a short walk away, Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge offers additional dining, shopping, and recreation. Stop by Auntie M’s for coffee, freshly baked caramel rolls (arrive early—they sell out!), ice cream, and souvenirs.
Ruttger’s also offers recreational rentals and features a championship 18-hole golf course, widely considered one of Minnesota’s must-play destinations, complete with a driving range and putting green.
Guest Communication & Access
Guests receive a comprehensive online guidebook immediately after booking, filled with helpful information, links, and over 10 videos covering the home, amenities, and important instructions. We kindly ask that the guidebook be shared with all adults in your group.
Guests also receive direct access to our local team and are encouraged to call or text 24/7 with any questions or needs.
Secure door codes are sent via text three days prior to check-in.

The Space
The main has a kitchen kitchen, equipped with all the modern conveniences. The charming first bedroom is not only endearing but also conveniently connected to a walk-through full bath. An additional bedroom, complete with its original convenience sink, offers a perfect space to begin or conclude your day. The family room stands as an additional place for hanging out.
Adjacent to this, the sunroom boasts an array of games, puzzles, and reading material, setting the stage for relaxation. Furnished with a puzzle and game table, alongside a snug chair for reading or dozing, this space is a haven for leisure. The informal dining area, adorned with a grand oak circular table, affords breathtaking lake views – a favored locale for guests to congregate, whether for meals or festivities.
Venturing to the lower level, you’ll find a an additional family room, bedroom, laundry facilities, and yet another full bath. This level invites comfort and offers ample space for relaxation.
There are two bedrooms upstairs & a big bedroom downstairs. We also have a great hangout room with overflow sleeping as well.
Bedroom 1 has a queen and a connected full bathroom.
Bedroom 2 has a queen bed.

Details
Our direct booking cancellation policy for this property is designed to be flexible while also protecting the property owner from last-minute cancellations. Guests may cancel and receive a 100% refund when cancellation is made at least 30 days before check-in and a 50% refund when cancellation is made 15–29 days before check-in. Cancellations made within 14 days of check-in are normally non-refundable, as the rental income is committed to the property owner and it can be difficult to replace a reservation on short notice. However, we understand that unexpected situations can arise, so if you need to cancel within 14 days of your stay, please contact us as soon as possible. We can cancel the reservation and attempt to rebook the dates, and if we are successful in rebooking the cancelled dates, we will still provide a 50% refund, even if the replacement reservation is secured only a few days before your scheduled arrival. We kindly ask guests not to make reservations unless they reasonably intend to keep them, as credit card and payment-processing fees associated with direct reservations can approach 8%. At the same time, we recognize that legitimate emergencies and unexpected circumstances happen, and when they do, we are happy to work with our guests and provide any refund available under the cancellation policy above.
